Young Jack Thriller presents 16 or Better featuring Mysonne & Lil Cease. 16 or Better is a platform for underground hip hop artists to showcase their lyrical talent. 16 or Better is considered the “American Idol” for hip hop aspiring artists. Artists must audition in front of celebrity judges and be chosen to be on the show. Once chosen, the artist is given a beat selected by the Thriller Gang and must recite their best 16 bars live at a taping of the show.
Young Jack Thriller and Mazio, video director and editor, developed this unique opportunity for unsigned hip hop artists to be able to be seen and heard in the hip hop world. The concept has gain wide attention and has spread throughout the world and continues to grow. Hip hop artists from all over the world including cities like London, Paris, and Amsterdam, and of course New York City, vie for a chance to be one of the few talented artists selected to be on the next show. 16 or Better’s first episode aired on April 4, 2014. It has been seen on numerous hip hop sites and in particular, the show is featured each week on the well known and popular; THISIS50.com, Vlad TV, and Hip Hop DX, just to name a few.
