MIAMI, FL (February 3, 2015) - Florida’s first ever African Fashion Week where international fashion designers from across the world will be converging to celebrate Africa’s regal silhouette and distinctive palate of playful colors and prints will take place in South Florida beginning on February 19, 2015 concluding February 22, 2015.
The fourth annual production of Ankara Miami is the best place to see the most innovative fashion brands from emerging and established designers from the African Diaspora. The 2015 edition of the cultural event has expanded to become Florida’s FIRST African Fashion Week. Recognizing the immense talent rising from all corners of the African Diaspora, Ankara Miami is committed to featuring designers, music and art from across the world. While making an impact on the thriving South Florida arts scene showcasing African culture, supporting community initiatives and recognizing community leaders for their continued support of the arts and education of African heritage.
This year’s community spotlight shines on the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center (AHCAC) in support of their long-standing commitment to support and assist emerging young artists, provide quality performances and exhibitions, and foster the rich and diverse cultural arts perspective of the people of African Heritage.
