FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - The 4th Annual Dreams Do Come True Women’s Empowerment Brunch (DDCTB) featuring keynote speaker, Sierra Gates, star of VH1’s Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, will be taking place on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 10:00AM -3:00PM at the Rhythm Factory located at 9501 Arlington Expressway #329 in Jacksonville, FL.

This year’s event will kick off with a Beauty Hour hosted by YouTube sensation and beauty influencer, Adrianna Thomas. Adrianna will show off her beauty secrets to attendees, inform them about the 2018 growing beauty trends, and teach them how to develop a strong social media presence in the beauty industry. Immediately following the Beauty Hour, a panel of six distinguished female professionals will take the stage to discuss meaningful, intriguing topics like women empowerment, the importance of networking, branding, entrepreneurship, finding life’s purpose, and how to successfully make money while fulfilling your life’s purpose. Featured panelists include…

• Arlene Blake, Founder and President of Women on the Rise Inc.
• Cynthia Smith, DCPS District 4 Candidate
• Traci Evans, CEO of Meow and Bark Boutique
• Kimberly R. Stewart, CEO of KRS Wealth Management
• Deannia Divine, Miss Continental

• Shennette Sparkes, Founder of First Coast Lupus Fight
• April Caldwell, Founder of Trail Blazers
• Jennifer Blalock, CSO of Kids Hope Alliance

This event will also Honor CBS47 Action News Jax Anchorwoman, Dawn Lopez. Over the years, Dawn has successfully partnered with Family Support Services and assisted in getting hundreds of north Florida children adopted into loving families. During her years in broadcasting, she has been instrumental in using her voice to speak up for children throughout the city that need a voice.
The keynote speaker of the Dreams Do Come True Brunch will be Sierra Gates, founder of Sierra’s Secrets Cosmetics and The Glam Shop, a popular Atlanta-based beauty spa specializing in microblading, lash extensions, full-face glams, and hair services. At the age of 15 Sierra found herself pregnant with her first child. With nowhere to go and no one to depend on for help, she was kicked out of her parents’ house and eventually had to drop out of school. The Love & Hip Hop Atlanta television show has provided her with the perfect platform to tell her story and to advocate for teen moms and youth that find themselves experiencing difficulties. She uses her story to remind these young adults to never give up.

Created on the concept of community and giving back, this year the Dreams Do Come True Brunch is partnering with three non-profit organizations: (1) Saving Our Daughters, a mentoring program that teaches, supports and empowers underprivileged girls’ ranging in ages 5 to 18, (2) PACE Center for Girls, a program that provides girls and young women with an opportunity to create a better future for themselves, and (3) King Foundation, an organization that benefits children who
have lost a parent to unforeseen circumstances.

The Dreams Do Come True Brunch was birthed in 2015 by Ciara Quaintance and Megan Johnson, owners of Ci Me In Your Dreams Enterprises, with the purpose of providing women who possess an entrepreneurial, mogul-like spirit with the opportunity to gain knowledge on how to level-up their business, build a stronger, cohesive brand, and strengthen their networks through social media, branding, and wealth building.

The Dreams Do Come True Brunch is an organization created to bring women and teenagers together, with the purpose of empowering them and surrounding communities to secure their futures financially, mentally and physically. Through events and projects, women from all walks of life connect, network and recognize those making strides and living their dreams. The residual effect, is a network of women supporting and promoting each other, while motivating teenagers to do the same.

Originally signed to Jive Records, Raheem’s first three albums--The Love Experience (2005), Love Behind the Melody (2008) which reached #1 on the Top 10 R&B Hip-Hop Albums Chart and earned him two Grammy nominations (Best Male R&B Vocal Performance "Woman" and Best R&B Song: "Customer"), one BET Award, two BET J Virtual Awards for “Male Artist of the Year” and “Album of the Year.” The Love & War MasterPeace (2010) which has been deemed his most ambitious album to date and earned Raheem another Grammy Nomination in 2011 for his entire body of work for Best R&B Album of the Year, and resulted in chart-topping singles like “You,” “Customer” and the female-empowerment anthem “Woman.”

Stepping out as an independent artist for his 2013 release, A Place Called Love Land, Raheem remained consistent in his artistry and the same holds true with his last album Love, Sex & Passion (2015), having reached Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums at #4, Billboard’s Independent Albums at #2 and Billboard 200 at #31.

As a 3x Apollo Amateur Night winner, Omar Wilson is no stranger to the music scene. He has been able to grace stages abroad opening for the like of Boyz II Men, The Neville Brothers and others.  His music speaks to his own personal experiences growing up in an urban environment bridging the gap between Hip-Hop and Soul.  Growing up 30 minutes from New York City, church members at the Calvary Baptist Church in his hometown noticed his ability to have a spiritual impact through his singing at the young age of seven years old.  While performing regularly in New York, fans gravitated towards his unique, gritty vocals. It was at that point that Omar realized what he was born to do, Soul Music. Omar was named Best R&B Male of the Year for 2 consecutive years at the Underground Music Awards.  He has worked and written with Multi-Platinum selling recording artist Angie Stone and DMX featuring them on songs he wrote. Angie Stone was quoted saying “Working with Omar Wilson came naturally and he is one to watch!”.  A few years back, Omar released the single, “Faith” featuring DMX.

Omar’s voice and personality is contagious. He leaves a long standing impressions wherever he goes, wherever he sings and with whoever he meets. This past September, Omar released the chart-topping single, “Passion” to rave reviews and is currently enjoying the success of his #1 new single, "It's A Man's World".

[New Music] "Lois Lane" by Porcelan

Porcelan, is a Memphis-made recording artist and songwriter on the rise who slowly but surely started making a mark in the industry with her debut single, the beautiful piano ballad, “The Real Thing Don’t Change” co-written by producer and Hall of Fame songwriter David Porter and multi-instrumentalist Hamilton Hardin.  Porcelan sang before an audience for the first time at the age of ten, and with abundant school choir solos to sharpen her natural desire for perfection, she would soon find her voice as a songwriter, performer, and first-time recording artist by the age of sixteen.  Listeners most often make comparisons to some of the great female voices of our time, but with great humility lurking just beneath a fierce vocal range, Porcelan delivers her own version...every time.
The stunning visuals for the music video were directed by famed video director, Erik White (Chris Brown, Diddy, Mary J. Blige, The Glee Project).  The video was inspired by the film, The Bodyguard.  "I was very excited to shoot this video! The concept was something fresh yet very classic. I was able to dip into acting with a few parts which was all new for me. After watching the finished product, I was extremely proud to have gotten the opportunity to be part of such a well produced and directed project," says Porcelan.  "I was also extremely amazed at all of my growth as an artist, from my first video until now! It made me want to push even harder to the next level, it feels like great when u can say you've accomplished a level in your career. It gives me true excitement to know that there's so much more to come," she adds.
